Evans Associates prides itself with the excellent team of associates that has worked together on many projects over nearly ten years. They have broad areas of expertise, are able to call on each other's knowledge, and to put it all together into a plan geared to a client's needs.


Beth EvansBeth Evans, Principal and Senior Ecologist

Beth created Evans Associates in 1988 and has developed an energetic and loyal team over the years.

She holds a Masters in Regional Planning and a Masters of Science in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Biology from Cornell.

She is a Certified Professional Wetland Scientist, a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality, and a Certified Professional in Soil Erosion and Sediment Control.

Alan PilchAlan Pilch, Senior Design Associate

Alan holds a Masters in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto, Canada.

He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil Engineering) in Connecticut and New York and is a Registered Landscape Architect in New York, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

Eva SzigetiEva Szigeti, Soil Scientist and Environmental Analyst

Eva has a MS in Soil Science and a BS in Natural Resources from the University of Connecticut. She also has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Ecology and Environmental Technology from Paul Smith’s College

Eva is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist with specialized trainings in vegetation identification and wetlands delineation, hydric soils, and soil and site evaluations for septic disposal systems and stormwater management.

Tyler TompkinsTyler Tompkins, Design Associate & Environmental Monitor

Tyler has a BS in Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut as well as a BS in Horticulture from the same school.

He is a Certified Professional in Soil Erosion and Sediment Control. His specialized trainings include winter woody plant identification, Japanese Barberry control, discharge elimination systems.
